DVHS HOSA Holiday Gift Giving
DVHS HOSA/ Nursing class visits the Palazzo Long Term Care facility for Fall Clinical experiences. . It is populated by about 50 elderly people many of whom have no family. These residents are all on State Care that financially covers their residency. In other words, Medicaid pays for their nursing home. Medicaid payment is notoriously low so there are no extras. The DVHS HOSA student organization would like to recruit donations from teachers/students (and other schools who want to be involved) so that they can make gifts for the residents. The students will collect items November 14, 15. 18, 19, 20, at a table in front of the Cafeteria with boxes decorated for the holidays and labeled Socks, Blankets, Stuffed Animal, Personal Items and Entertainment. They will offer a gift card drawing for those that donate.
