Football Championship T-Shirts

Championship t-shirts are being designed. Be on the look-out for an e-mail next week sharing the order form. There will be short sleeve, long sleeve, and hoodies for sale.

Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball Games

For the past 25 years, the Coaches vs. Cancer program has united coaches and fans nationwide to help the American Cancer Society defeat a common enemy – cancer. This year, the Blair Oaks high school cheerleaders are teaming up with the boy and girls basketball teams to support the fight against cancer.

Coaches vs. Cancer basketball games will occur on Friday, December 21st, beginning at 6:00 p.m in the Blair Oaks high school gym.
Varsity boys & girls teams will play Fatima with several activities planned throughout the evening.
Basketball Cheerfair (for grades K-8th) is this same evening. A link to the Cheerfair flyer is provided below for those interested. Cheerfair participants will join cheerleaders to perform at half-time of the varsity girls game.
If you would like to support this great cause, please see the t-shirt order form linked below. Long sleeve and short sleeve shirts are available. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go to help fight cancer.

Fighting Cancer with Free Throws

Join the Falcon & Lady Falcon basketball teams in fighting cancer by participating in a free throw-a-thon to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

From 12/14 to 12/20, students sign-up sponsors to pledge money or a flat donation for each free throw made.
Students will shoot 100 free throws at home or in the high school gym on December 16th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and keep track of how many shots they make.
Pledge sheets and donations should be turned in to the high school office by Thursday, December 20th.

The presentation of the check to the American Cancer Society will occur between the varsity boys and girls games against the Fatima Comets on Friday, December 21st.

Blair Oaks Cheer Program Fundraiser

The Blair Oaks Cheer Program will be hosting the Hello Belle Boutique fashion truck. You are invited to come do some last minute shopping and help the squad earn money to help pay for upcoming stunt clinics and camps. Thanks in advance for your support!

When: Saturday, December 15th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Blair Oaks High School, 1909 State Hwy B, Wardsville
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Blair Oaks Cheer Program.

The Hello Belle Boutique is Mid-Missouri’s first fully stocked “fashion truck” with clothes in sizes small to triple XL. The mission at Hello Belle is to provide the latest trendy boutique items at an affordable price, with all items being less than $40.

Dual Credit Classes Deadline

Students taking 2nd semester dual credit classes must submit enrollment forms & payment to Jill Shanley in Blair Oaks High School's counseling office by Tuesday, December 13th.

Schedule change forms are available from the counselors
2nd semester changes must be made prior to Christmas break
Students dropping or entering a year-long class need to complete a schedule change form and get 4 required signatures

Christmas Concerts

Choir and band students invite you to join them for their Christmas concerts. Both concerts will be held in the high school gym.

December 9, 2:00 p.m., Choir Christmas Concert
Guests will be treated to a pre-show beginning at 1:30 p.m.
December 9, 4:00 p.m., Band Christmas Concert

Weather Make-Up Day

Due to the inclement weather which caused us to have a snow day, Blair Oaks High School will be in session on February 18th (Presidents' Day) as our first weather make-up day.

School Cancellations

How to find out about closings:

Information regarding school closings or schedule changes due to extreme weather will be posted on the cancellation page of the Blair Oaks district website
Typically, a decision to close school is made just prior to 6:00 AM on the morning in question.
On days that our district is closed, our broadcast telephone messaging system will call all district families at their primary contact number at approximately 6:00 AM to announce the closing.
The Blair Oaks R-II School District will post school closings or schedule changes on the local radio and television stations.

Reward Day

As an incentive for doing their best during spring testing and semester exams, students will be rewarded with a movie day on Friday, December 21st. Be watching for a permission slip that will be sent home next week. The form requires parent signature and should be returned to 1st period teachers before Friday, December 14th.

This is a regular school day; any absences will be unexcused.
