Announcements & Updates

- Congratulations to 7th grader Blake Charlesworth for auditioning and being accepted to the Morris County Honors Choir.


- A reminder that the Lions' Den is open after school from 3:30 - 4:30, Tuesday through Thursday. Students can sign up to stay for the Den Hour on Mrs. Toth's Google Classroom page.


- With winter athletics starting November 29, please be reminded that all sporting events, cancellations, etc... are posted to the Mountain View website calendar and Daily Bulletin. The calendar is available on both the website and the app, while the bulletin can only be viewed on the mobile app.


- On Thursday, December 1, all 5th graders will attend a presentation with author and certified School Psychologist Danielle Gasalberti, who will lead students in a read-aloud of her book Love Your Selfie. Published last year, the book addresses self-esteem and image in the 21st Century, with a focus on kindness and confidence. Fifth graders will use elements of the story during future Advisory lessons.

Happy Wednesday Mountian View! I hope everyone enjoyed their short week and is looking forward to our long weekend ahead. We had Advisory today! In Advisory, students were asked to brainstorm ideas for items we can collect to make “care-kits” for our service learning partner, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Students were asked to think of items that are a part of their daily routine, items that bring them comfort, and items that would be useful when transitioning into new foster homes/moving into a permanent home. Check out some of the brainstormed ideas below. Happy Thanksgiving!
