Late Bus Tutorials Run Every Tuesday & Thursday
Late Bus Procedures & Drop Off Information
We are so thankful to have the ability to offer 2 late buses on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that students are able to attend tutorials and still get bus transportation home.
I do want to make certain that students and parents understand that these 2 buses only transport students to the bus stops listed below. They do not make every stop that our buses make in the mornings or directly after school.
In addition, we will be strictly enforcing tutorial attendance and proper behavior in order to be able to ride the late bus. Students may not leave Renner and then come back to campus to ride the late bus home. Students who attempt to board the late bus but have not attended tutoring will not be allowed to ride. Tutoring ends at 4:30; at that time, tutorial teachers will escort students to the library where they will work quietly until the buses arrive at 5:15. Poor behavior during tutorials or during this 45 minute period of time after tutoring can result in not being allowed to ride the late bus.
This is a great opportunity for our students to take advantage of extra help from teachers, and we hope our students will utilize this time for their benefit.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Jill Engelking
Do You Have A New Address?
Students who have blocks on their account for residency must provide updated proof of residency to our Registrar, Mrs. Lopez, before their schedule will be released. If you moved over the summer, please be sure to bring proof of residency to our Registrar's Office before school begins. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Lopez at 469-752-5819 or maru.lopez@pisd.edu.
News From The Nurse!
Parents,
If your student has health concerns such as adrenal crisis, allergies/anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes, seizures, or other health concerns that require Action Plans, please be mindful that new Action Plans and Request for Medication forms must be provided at the beginning of each school year. Please have their physician complete these forms prior to the first day of school.
Linked below is a list with hyperlinks that you may print for their use. However, please know that many physicians have their own preferred forms and these will be acceptable as long as all necessary information is provided.
To find various health related forms that are required, please visit https://www.pisd.edu/Page/1697
Together, we can provide your student with a safe learning environment.
Respectfully,
Brandi Shrier, RN

Renner Evening Events & Parking at the Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center (TMC)
Mustang Parents-
In speaking to the TMC complex supervisor, some of our evening events (most recently our Open House on Monday, August 26) completely filled the TMC parking lot. This left no available spots for TMC patrons. With our fine arts construction completed, we now have access to 3 staff parking lots and the Plano West lot closest to Renner for our after hours events parking.
I was asked to inform the Renner staff and parents that the TMC will start tagging and towing vehicles that are not Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center guests, and towing will be at the owner's expense.
I believe that the primary Renner events which create this problem are Fall and Spring Open House, parent meetings in January for kiddos moving from 5th to 6th grade, and Elective Night for kiddos moving from 6th and 7th grade to 7th and 8th. These are high volume events; however, please be mindful of this when you are attending other evening events at school.
Please feel free to contact me - or the Muehlenbeck Center - if you have questions or concerns.
Thank you for your assistance on this,
Jill Engelking
