SDSL's Cornerstone Newsletter

Starting this month, the South Dakota State Library will facilitate monthly online chats for public and academic libraries. These “Collect + Connect” meetups will be held each month via Zoom, allowing librarians from across the state to gather and discuss topics important to libraries.

The Public Libraries Collect + Connect will meet every second Wednesday at 12pm CST (Zoom link: https://state-sd.zoom.us/j/96610451192?pwd=clZOVU9veG5ZK2pjUDQrZ0lWVFZGUT09), and the Academic Libraries Collect + Connect will meet every third Thursday at 12pm CST (https://state-sd.zoom.us/j/96115382218?pwd=SmZzQzhwdjh2S01GZ0U1eVk2VStzQT09).

The first Public Libraries Collect + Connect will be held Wednesday, November 9, and the first Academic Libraries Collect + Connect will be held Thursday, November 17.

The School Libraries Collect + Connect meet-ups, which began in August of this year, will continue to meet the first Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm CST (registration: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdtJPYHXwCZ3JSeC8T0mZhBY-8q7uncp3_1sjRvUubbslmwLg/viewform). The topics of the School Libraries Collect + Connect have included Back-to-School, Collaboration, Favorite Tech Tools, and Genrefication/Weeding.
