Bernardo Parent Bulletin #35
April 16, 2023
Family Lunch Day this Tuesday
To help make it easier for students to find their families, we're asking parents to sit in the general areas listed below. Teachers will walk their students out to those areas so you can just meet your child when they come out.
- TK, Kinder, 2nd, 4th grades: The half of the front grassy area located closest to the school office.
- 1st, 3rd, 5th grades: The half of the grassy area located closer to the Outdoor stage.

State testing for 3rd-5th grades
While we want all of our students to experience success on these annual assessments, we do not want any students to become overly-stressed or place too much of their personal value on their results. We emphasize to students that these tests are just one way to measure how much they have learned. To do this, they will be presented with questions that they will know how to answer and other questions that they have not yet learned the answers to.
To help your child do his/her be as prepared as possible for the assessments, please be sure that they get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive on time with their iPads fully charged. Also, please remind them just how awesome they are and that we simply want them to do their very best.
Family Glow Dance on April 28!
To help with the planning, we're asking families to please complete this quick google form to let us know how many people to expect. Thank you!
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week
Please feel free to express your gratitude any way that you see fit. While some parents choose to show their appreciation in tangible ways through gifts, acts of appreciation don't necessarily need to cost money. A simple email, letter, or card of appreciation also means a lot!
