Parent - Teacher Conferences (Student Led) | January 31, 2024
We have our second round of Parent-Teacher Conferences at the end of the month on Wednesday, January 31 from 4:30 pm to 7 pm. Please see the letter below which explains our Student Led Conferences and what you can expect when you attend that evening.
Lost and Found is Overflowing!
We are going to have this mess of items cleaned up and organized for Wednesday night at Parent-Teacher Conferences so that you can look through to see if your student has lost something here at school. Any of the items that are not claimed by next Friday, February 2, 2024 will be donated.
We are in the process of having a better system for showing all of these items in the future, like the great shelving system at FES. For the time being, we will have everything laid out on tables on Wednesday evening.
Michigan State Police Visit | February 6-7, 2024
Back on December 6, 2023 we hosted an assembly with the Michigan State Police Cyber Crimes Division. It was a fabulous assembly which did not go nearly long enough for our students to get all of the information and be able to ask questions. We are lucky enough that they have agreed to come back and talk to both our 7th and 8th grade health classes on February 6 and 7. As a reminder, the letter below has information regarding the topics of the assembly back in December and what they will be continuing to discuss in our health classes.

If you would like to Opt-Out your student for this visit, please email Mrs. Thunberg directly by January 31, 2024.
Loons Game at Dow Diamond Field Trip | May 7, 2024
We are excited to announce that the entire middle school will be able to attend a Loons game at Dow Diamond on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. The cost of this trip will be $11 and that will include a ticket to the game, transportation, and a school provided sack lunch. There will be concessions available at the ballpark for students who are interested in purchasing those as well.
Here is the permission slip for the event: Dow Diamond Permission Slip
We need permission slips and the $11 admission in the main office by Friday, March 22, 2024 in order to plan for the event. If you have any questions or have financial concerns, please contact Mrs. Thunberg or Mrs. Glazier.
We would appreciate donations from any families who are willing to help a student who is having financial difficulties for this event. You can cover the $11 cost for a student in need in the main office at FMS and we will make sure that all of our students are able to attend this field trip.
