A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:

Parents,

We are excited to welcome more than 60 visitors to our school next Thursday, February 28 for our schoolwide LEADERSHIP DAY! Many students will be involved in this visit including student tour guides, student performances, student speakers, and classroom greeters! We are thrilled to share the awesome ways we are developing leadership skills in our students!

In an effort to help us ensure we are prepared, please encourage your child to wear COLLEGE COLORS OR a Pontiac shirt on this special day. Again, this is scheduled for next Thursday, February 28.

Middle School Music Programs

All of our 5th grade students were recently visited by band, chorus, and orchestra students from Summit Parkway Middle School. Each ensemble performed for our students, the directors introduced their middle school programs, and our students asked any questions they had concerning the middle school music classes. If your 5th grade child is interested in participating in band, chorus, or orchestra and will be attending a Richland Two middle school next year, the district is asking you to indicate that interest by completing an online registration form by March 31st. You can access the form as follows:

I have a limited number of paper brochures only available for those with no internet access. Please have your child come by my music room to pick one up if this applies to your situation and you would like to register your child for a middle school music program. Remember to bring your Box Tops for Education to our school! We send these in and receive cash back! PTO and our school is providing an additional Covey Club in March if we synergize and collect at least 3,000 BOX TOPS this month!

Congratulations to Haley Helzer and Justin Boyd for being chosen to represent Pontiac in the Future Chef Competition on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 4 pm.

Pontiac is excited that the following students submitted videos in the Richland Two film festival. They will participate in the gallery walk. Way to go Parrots!
