Yellowstone - is the first national park in the world. It was founded on 1st of March 1872. It's 8983 sq km. Yellowstone is A UNESCO world heritage site. It was situated on a territory of 3 states: Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Approximately 96 % of the Park lies in Wyoming, 3 % in Montana and 1 % in Idaho. From North to south the Yellowstone is 102 km and from west to east is 87 km.

There are 1870 kinds of plants in the park and about 60 types of animals.In Yellowstone Park there is one of the world's largest petrified forests: the eruption that was thousands of years ago, trees in ashes, and their wood had mineralizable

The highest waterfall is Lower Falls on the Yellowstone river. It is 94 meters high.

Yellowstone is a huge geyser field. In the Park there are about 3 thousand geysers . Among them is the world's largest geyser "Steamboat" , as well as one of the most famous is the geyser "Old campaigner".
