Reminder to please mark your calendar for Monday, August 21st if you would like to be volunteer trained. We will begin at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. Please remember, any district volunteer training is permitted if this date/time does not work for your schedule.

Our first PTO meeting will be held immediately following the volunteer training, also in the cafeteria. Please join if you are interested in being a part of our fabulous PTO!!

• Starting Monday, cars without car tags will be directed to the front office.
• If you do not have a car tag or forgot your tag for the day, please pull to the front office (where the flagpole is), park in a visitor parking spot, and come in the main entrance. Our front office staff will be glad to either get you another set of car tags or call for your student(s). This will eliminate licence checks past red. Thank you!

• We have a sign posted before you enter the "pick-up" zone in our car loop. Please refrain from using your cell phone within this zone for our students safety.

• We recently spoke with students about taking care of technology, especially if it travels to and from home. Please review the Chromebook reminders we are also sending home in Monday folders.

Our Volunteer Training Coordinator, Mrs. Beverly Whitman, currently has two volunteer training dates set up. As she serves at Hagood Elementary School and Pickens Elementary School, two dates/times/and locations are scheduled. Parents/Guardians may attend ANY Volunteer Training session in SDPC. Please reach out to Mrs. Whitman if you have any questions, beverlywhitman@pickens.k12.sc.us.

2. Friday, August 25th, 2023 at 8:30 am at Pickens Elementary School
