Andrews Elementary is offering Prime Time after-school program for Kinder-5th grade students Mondays through Thursdays until 4:30 pm. Arts and crafts, computer coding, outdoor sports, board games, and more will be available. For more information, please contact us at 512-414-1770.

Note: All Prime Time students must sign out before pick up from the program.

Every person surrounding a child assists in nurturing the whole child. The whole child education looks at the areas of cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you're mindful, you're taking your time. You're focusing in a relaxed, easy way. Practice these exercises when you need to take a moment to breath and feel calmer.

Family and community involvement in schools is important to the learning, development and health of students. Families can help support healthy behaviors in their children and show them how to be active participants in their everyday learning. Self-care is also important for positive mental health and it will aid in coping with stressful events that come into play.
