Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Family,
We had such an exciting week! Thank you for prioritizing your child’s future by collaborating with our amazing staff at parent-teacher and parent-teacher-student conferences this week. If rescheduling needed to occur, please reach out to your child’s teacher to confirm that rescheduled time. Our goal is to conference with every family in service to the students. Trunk or Treat was a blast! Thank you to everyone who came out to partake in the activities and socialize with fellow WMS families and staff. Thank you to our top-notch PTSA for putting on this event. Thank you to staff members Kim Giddens, Hannah Agpoon, Jonah Agpoon, Charise Dawson, and Jenice Carolan for leading activity stations and serving as judges for the costume and trunk contests! Thank you to Tupelo Honey for donating biscuits. Additionally, 50 cents of every kid’s meal at Tupelo Honey purchased now until the end of December benefits our students!
NCI Fundraising packets are due on November 15th! If parents would like to purchase a case of chocolate bars for $48 a case, please indicate this on your form or email Principal Pallin directly at pallinme@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us. This way, your child determines where to sell bars directly. In addition, AP and UE parents, please encourage and assist your students with the fundraising efforts. After the November 15th date, the NCI planning committee will be reconvening to determine the next round of fundraising efforts that will take place from now until the end of March.
Our Raising Readers talk featuring Anne Kissinger, PhD, Children’s Library Supervisor at Wauwatosa Public Library was wonderful. Thank you to everyone who joined or stopped by the Raising Readers table on Friday. Thank you to all the organizers of this event. Thank you to our Literacy Team attendees Shannon Kobinsky, Jenice Carolan, Melissa Pallin, Jen Jacobs, Jason Lawent, Heidi Hemling, and Yifan Zheng. The talk included engagement strategies for building reading confidence, literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading and learning. Thank you to Ms. Ioulia Ionina for providing childcare during the event. Our Wauwatosa Montessori Staff is so caring and supportive of our mission and vision here at Wauwatosa Montessori School. Lastly, we are thrilled to be sending our Adolescent Program students off to Nature’s Classroom Institute this week!
