CHECK OUT WHAT'S HAPPENING AT MORA HIGH SCHOOL!
AN EXTRAORDINARY CITIZEN
In a world where every act of kindness makes a difference, Eli has truly set an extraordinary example of being an amazing citizen.
Today, Eli found a wallet containing a large sum of money and didn't hesitate for a moment before doing the right thing. Without a second thought, Eli returned it to the high school office, ensuring it found its way back to its rightful owner.
This act of integrity and honesty speaks volumes about Eli's character. Eli, you're not just a role model for your peers, but for all of us. Your actions remind us of the importance of kindness, responsibility, and the impact a single good deed can have on our community.
Way to go, Eli! You're an outstanding person, and your actions inspire us all to be better and do better. Let's all take a page from Eli's book and spread kindness wherever we go.
Side note: The owner of the wallet was Aaron Cross. Read about Aaron by clicking the link below.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
The progress of our Robotics team towards being tournament-ready is really coming together, combining elements of engineering, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. This journey is akin to preparing a spacecraft for a mission to space, where every component, system, and team member must work flawlessly together to achieve success. Keep up the great work!

ILLNESS
It’s that time of year still! Here at the Mora Public Schools, we are still seeing tons of common school-age illnesses. So, parents, please be mindful when sending your student to school. Always try to make sure they are feeling their best so they can be present and ready to learn for the day. Most of the school-age illnesses are harmless, but they can still spread like rapid fire. Some common illnesses seen include the common cold, stomach flu, strep throat, pink eye, and influenza, just to name a few. We do have COVID tests in the health office if needed. We do ask that you keep your student home for at least 24 hours for any illnesses that include a fever over 100.0, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you ever have any questions or want any more information, please feel free to reach out to the health office staff. The best way to prevent illnesses from spreading is by washing your hands!! Thank you so much for all you do and for helping to keep our students happy and healthy!

MENSTUAL PRODUCTS
Per the new Minnesota Legislature that went into effect January 2024 we have provided menstrual products in our 4th-12th grade bathrooms. The menstrual products have been in our schools restrooms for a little over a month now and we have noticed some overuse of these products; many are taking large handfuls of the product at a time. The goal of these products is for all students to utilize if/when needed. Please talk with your student about only taking what they need. There are more products available for students to take home in the 'Food for Friends' if they are needing more than what's needed during the school day. We want to be able to have enough for all students in need. Thank you for everything you do!
