News from Curriculum and Instruction!
Wonders/Classroom Updates
Large Sound/Spelling Cards should be posted in ALL ELAR classrooms. These are excellent student resources for reading and spelling/writing.
K-3 use Reading and Writing Companion book as appropriate/needed, 4-5 use digital R/W Companion as appropriate/needed
K-2 follow scope and sequence of Wonders/Maravillas (Use TRS documents for extended understanding of TEKS), Gr. 3-5 follow TRS scope and sequence (YAG/IFD) - here are alignments of TRS and Wonders
Wonders/Maravillas may be used for social studies, add extra time to ELAR block for this integration (do not have to show separate time for SS in daily schedule)
Science should follow TRS YAG, using STEMScope as primary resource
