CAST STEM Principal's Weekly Update

CAST STEM families,

What a beautiful day! Seniors started their day together at Senior Sunrise - it was a glorious sunrise. We are so proud of their success. SAT Day is Wednesday, October 13th! FAFSA is open and it is time to complete FAFSA/TAFSA. Thank you to San Antonio Education Partnership for working one-on-one with seniors.

Our Juniors spent their day prepping for the PSAT with GEAR UP. PSAT Day is Wednesday, October 13th!

WORLD TEACHER DAY: I'd like to recognize all of our facilitators and staff for a fantastic first 6 weeks of school. Facilitators encourage students to achieve their best level of success, complete assignments in a timely manner, and focus on success in college, career and military goals!

Monday, October 11th is a student holiday and staff workday. Palo Alto College Dual Credit scholars DO have class on Monday. Good luck to College Algebra scholars - TEST MONDAY!

Join PTSA today! PTSA strives to make every child's potential a reality. Join by October 15th to get connected. JoinPTA.org is a mobile-friendly website where anyone can easily join our PTA using a credit or debit card. Our dues are $10 and the website charges a $1.50 processing fee.

College Advising is available to you by appointment. Student and parent events are offered throughout fall, spring, and summer. Review the website for this summer's events.

We appreciate that you wear modest clothing that shows that you are ready to learn and ready to work. We expect you to wear clothing that covers your body and protects you when working in our laboratory spaces.

Weekly Spirit Days:

Wednesday - CAST STEM Spirit - wear your CAST STEM spirit shirt!

Thursday - Professional Dress Day - dress for your future career.

Friday - College or Career Spirit - wear your favorite college or career shirt.

VOE is a form that you submit to the DPS when you are applying for a learner's permit or license. It is signed by your school administrator to verify that you are enrolled in school, attending 90% of classes in the semester prior to your application, and that you have been awarded credit for each class you took in the semester prior to applying for your license. If you need to obtain this form, please download and complete the following form and drop it off at CAST STEM. Please be sure to drop it off 24 hours in advance of when you need it. Mrs. Shaeffer will verify your attendance and credits before signing the VOE.
