In October we celebrated...
- National Principals Month
- Disabilities Awareness Month
- Filipinio American History Month
- Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 - October 15)
In November, we'll celebrate Native American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month
The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. Heritage Month is also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.

BSD is hiring!
As you know, we have a number of positions open in the District, and we also need substitutes. Please consider sharing the flyers below to help us get the word out! Flyers can be downloaded here (or right-click the graphic below and save the PNG).
Teachers: Is your Google Site updated?
Your Google sites (public-facing for parent/guardian communication) should be created/updated! If grade bands share a Google site that is A-OK, as long as the content is updated!
New teachers: When your new site is complete, please click here to submit your URL so we can link your site to your school web page! There are great tips and instructional videos on BSDTeach.
Teachers who have moved buildings: Please make sure your name is on your CURRENT school's website and linked. See anything awry? Please click here to let us know!
All BSD staff are welcome to create a Google site - you don't have to be a teacher (but teachers are required to have one set up to communicate with students' families).
Teachers! Looking for graphics for your Google site/Classroom?
Download graphics from the District Communication Resources folder in various sizes and in English and Spanish!
