2023 Red Willow County Fair
The fair this year was a great success!! Congratulations to everyone who exhibited at the Red Willow County Fair! Thank you 4-Hers, parents, extended family, leaders, and volunteers for everything you did.
Premium Showcase Photos
Cadde Beeby took a photo of each participant during the Showcase. Those photos have been framed and are ready to be delivered to the buyer of your premium as a thank you. Please come to the Extension Office to pick those up and deliver.

State Fair Entries
The following State Fair entries must be completed by the exhibitors before August 10th by 8:00 pm central time.
Beef, Sheep, Swine, Meat Goats, Poultry, Rabbits, Dogs, Dairy Judging Contest entries
· Must be made by the exhibitors themselves.
· Must have been both nominated on Show Stock Manager and DNA samples completed..
· To enter 4-H livestock classes online go to: https://nebr.fairwire.com/.
· These are entered by the families, not the county, and must be paid for with a credit or debit card. There are no other options for payment.
Dairy Show entries
· Must be made by the exhibitors themselves into the Open Class ShoWorks online registration.

All non-livestock entries (Contests, Culinary Challenge, Fashion Show, Robotics Showcase)
· Must be made by the exhibitors themselves.

4-H Building Static Exhibits
Any exhibit that was selected for State Fair will be entered and transported by our office staff to the Nebraska State Fair on August 23 and brought home on September 5.
· Non-perishable exhibits need to be brought to our office on or before Monday, August 21. Please read the Red Willow County Fair Premium Book for supporting materials needed and labeling guidelines.
· All perishable exhibits (food, horticulture and floriculture) need to be brought to the office by 7:30 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Please read the Red Willow County Fair Premium Book for supporting materials needed and labeling guidelines.
· If you were selected to exhibit horticulture/floriculture, please email the class numbers and variety/cultivar you plan to send to teresa.thomas@unl.edu by Wednesday, August 16.
4-H Day At The Fair Tickets
• The Nebraska State Fair is thrilled to host the 1st annual 4-H Day at the Nebraska State Fair. 4-H Day will be Sunday, August 27th. To celebrate 4-H members statewide they are offering a discounted admission that day that is only for bonafide 4-H members.
• This is only intended for 4-H members. Family members, including parents, will need to purchase regular admission tickets. This is not just for exhibitors, but for any 4-H member.

Static Exhibitor Discount Tickets
Back by popular demand! Our 4-H static exhibitor families will be able to order discount passes directly from the Nebraska State Fair! Orders can be placed using the following link and password. Please remember the opportunity to order these discounted tickets is for static exhibitors and their families only. The misuse of this resource may eliminate this opportunity in the future, so please encourage your families not to share this link. Note – We can track who ordered tickets and match it with their 4-H participation. There is a limit of 10 tickets per exhibitor. Discount tickets will not be available through the county offices. Note – These tickets will need to be accessible on your phone or printed prior to coming to the Nebraska State Fair. There is no ticket pickup window.
Note – All livestock exhibitors and in-person event exhibitors (chicken BBQ, fashion show, ID contests, and robotics showcase) will still be able to order discounted tickets when they enter in ShoWorks for State Fair. This process has not changed for those exhibitors coming to the fair.

2026 Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF)
If you are interested in participating in the 2026 Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) program please contact Donna at donna.kircher@unl.edu. Participants must have completed their freshman year of high school and be 14 years of age by June 1, 2026. There will be opportunities this summer to do fundraising if you would like to get started.
