We had an awesome first week back-to-school! Please see several school reminders and important information posted below.

• All parents should use the car line for morning drop-off this week. We will not have our track area parking open for week #2. Staff members and safety patrols will be available to assist younger students to class. Thank you for supporting our efforts in helping all students get into our daily school routines.

• If your child needs assistance with their seat belt/buckle, please pull around to the other side of the pick-up loop and buckle them so that the flow of traffic continues moving.

• Parents in the car line should keep their car tag number hanging until after your child is in your car. Staff members and stafey patrol are trained to look at car tag numbers to match with student bookbag tags. This helps us ensure each student gets into the correct car. Please leave your tag hanging until your child has been placed in your vehicle.

As you have noticed, our district has new registration software called Final Forms. This took the place of Gateway registration from years past. This year everyone MUST fill out Final Forms and update all information including Emergency Medical Contacts.

Parents must complete Emergency Contacts in Final Forms. Please do not delay in updating your information, especially if someone other than the parent/guardian will be picking up a student for any reason.

We can no longer update your information for you via phone or by a note. Our office staff does not have rights to update information, only parents can update this important information.

After you have completed Final Forms, please email our Data Entry Clerk- Gail Isaacs at gailisaacs@pickens.k12.sc.us.

We will accept payments through My School Bucks this year. Please call Mrs. Porter, our Secretary/Bookkeeper, at (864) 397-1902 if you are having trouble with your account. ASC (After School Care) will accept cash or certified check payments on Friday of each week. We will not accept personal checks this year. Thank you for understanding.

Our Volunteer Training Coordinator, Mrs. Beverly Whitman, currently has two volunteer training dates set up. As she serves at Hagood Elementary School and Pickens Elementary School, two dates/times/and locations are scheduled. Parents/Guardians may attend ANY Volunteer Training session in SDPC. Please reach out to Mrs. Whitman if you have any questions, beverlywhitman@pickens.k12.sc.us.

1. Monday, August 21st, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Hagood Elementary School
2. Friday, August 25th, 2023 at 8:30 am at Pickens Elementary School
