AESD Family Letter
February 2, 2023
Dear AESD Families,
The following update is provided to keep you informed regarding the Anaheim Elementary School District:
AESD Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Input Survey:
In November 2022, Proposition 28 was approved as part of the general election. This proposition provides additional funding for arts and music education in California public schools. The Anaheim Elementary School District highly values arts education for all students and considers it an essential element of classroom instruction. AESD also values the input and voice of our families, and would like to hear from you in a survey we are conducting. The purpose of this survey is to gather data around our current and future arts programs, resources, professional development, and site infrastructure in regards to the five arts disciplines that are reflected in the California Arts Standards. (Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts)
Please complete this survey to indicate areas of arts education that you would like to see the district move towards.
LCAP SURVEY WINDOW: January 30-February 17, 2023
The survey window is open for parents and staff to share input to support the planning for the 2023-2024 school year. Surveys are available through your school sites and on the Anaheim Elementary School District Website.
Parent Engagement Opportunities - February 2023
Please take a second to review and calendar the parent engagement opportunities that will be offered in February at the School, Family and Community Engagement Office (Key Campus) 2000 W Ball Road.
On behalf of our Board of Education and staff members, thank you for your ongoing support of our District.
Kind regards,
Dr. Christopher Downing
