Royal Education Foundation Grant Awarded to RHS Jazzettes and Dance Department
The Royal High School Jazzettes and Dance Department would like to send a huge thank you to the Royal Education Foundation for their continued support of our growing department! With the Foundation’s Fall 2020 Grant Award, the Jazzettes were able to purchase a brand new iPad! Much like any sport, dancers watch “film” of their performances and practices to assess room for improvement. This iPad will be used for Video Assessment, cleaning routines, formations, class projects, and more! Thank you again for your gracious support of our program and every student here at Royal ISD!
RHS Lady Falcons Score 60-46 Victory
The Royal High School Lady Falcons scored a 60-46 victory over El Campo, allowing them to remain in the first place district spot. With only three games left in the season and a 6-1 record, our RHS Lady Falcons are well on their way to a successful playoff bid.
The Royal community commends the El Campo players for the respect and sportsmanship displayed when they took a picture with the Falcons following the game. The lessons learned from sports are priceless.

Scam of the Week: Romantic Investment Scams
Let’s be honest, the age of social distancing can leave us feeling lonely. To make matters worse, bad guys are leveraging our loneliness for their scams. Romance-related scams are growing more popular and more complex.
In the latest romance-related scam, bad guys use a dating app to find their target, build a relationship, and establish trust. Once you trust them, the scammer will share financial tips and invite you to an exclusive investment site—which is actually a scam. Your new “friend” will guide you through opening an account, buying financial products, and building your investments. Then, one day, all communication stops and you’re left wondering where that money has gone.
Don’t fall for it! Remember these tips:
- Romance scams aren’t exclusive to dating apps. The technique could easily be used on social media as well. Be skeptical of anyone who contacts you that you don’t know personally.
- This attack exploits the loneliness of life during a pandemic. Don’t let the bad guys play with your emotions. Think before you click!
- Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it is probably a scam.
