It's that time of year, the time of giving. So much of this newsletter is dedicated to giving back. Please take a look at KAY Club Citizenship week and the other opportunities. Hopefully, you can give back this week and next as we race toward Christmas. It is also time to take finals. This is the week that grades will be locked in and some of you will have a chance to be exempt. Exemption forms can be picked up at the end of the day Wednesday and get them signed Thursday-Friday. Remember, that exemption forms will be due in the office by Friday, December 15th @ 4:00 PM. And remember that attendance continues to matter, even after the 15th. So let's all be in school for the next two weeks! There's a lot of work to do and then some fun to come!

Mrs. Sandmann, who teaches Workplace Experience at MJSHS, invited the STEMM Fire Foundation to come present to 9-12 graders all about STEM jobs in Kansas. STEMM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medical. The mission of the group is to connect industry professionals to rural school districts and communities in an effor to ignite and empower rural youth, parents, and educators. It was a great chance for students to hear about what's possible right here in Kansas! More information can be found at https://www.stemmfire.org/

Isobel always finds the positive even if she didn't succeed. She makes everyone laugh and feel welcome in the classroom, and she always makes an effort to speak to adults in the hallways. Thanks for being so positive, Isobel!

The picture above is of our junior high band performing at this year's Winter Concert. All three levels performed beautifully to a huge crowd in the auditorium. The Winter Choir Concert is coming this Wednesday. We hope to see you all there!
