Technology Integration

Hello!

I hope you all had a restful and relaxing summer! I am ready to hit the ground running with all of you to collaborate, plan, and integrate the best resources that meet your goals as the new Technology Integration Specialist with North Point ESC! In order to help you achieve those ideas and goals, I have over 20 years of educational experiences ranging from being a Kindergarten, 5th grade, Title I, and technology teacher to being a media specialist, undergrad teaching faculty, and technology integration specialist. One thing has always been at the forefront of all of those positions, researching and implementing ways for students to be highly engaged and motivated, while creating and collaborating with technology tools and resources. Throughout my journey I continue to read, collaborate, build professional learning communities, and try new resources and tools that can benefit both educators and students at all levels and content. I love to learn new things, so don't be afraid to ask, and I will always dive in to see if there are options that will work for you!

When I am at home, I enjoy every minute with my family! My husband, Jerry, and I have been married 16 years and have a 10-year-old son named Jonah who is starting 4th grade at Genoa. Jonah loves to swim, play baseball, and was very excited to receive Grand Champion for his dog project this year in 4H. We also have 2 German Shepherds, or my other sons, Dino who is 4, and Rex who is 1. I also have 2 step-daughters that are both married, Jerrica and Dexter living in California and Brianna and Jacob living in Michigan. Brianna and Jacob had a healthy, sweet, baby boy in July making my husband and I grandparents, and Jonah an uncle! If it is sunny and warm, you will find me outside on my patio enjoying coffee, reading, playing games with family, tossing the ball and frisbee with Dino and Rex, and just enjoying life! I love to bike, kayak, walk, bake, and garden. This year we had an abundance of zucchini, cucumbers, and carrots, and now tomatoes and corn are on! Baking, freezing, and cooking has kept us busy!
