Whether you are just graduating from high school, switching careers, and/or have a family member starting college, this is an opportunity to learn about how Kapiʻolani Community College supports students through their academic and personal goals. “Your Academic Journey with Kapiʻolani Community College” is a 4-part webinar series providing a foundational perspective on how to get started and the support one can expect. This webinar will address the unique challenges students in unstable housing face while attending school, including what is required of them for school success and what are the social hurts they experience as a result of their situation. This session focuses on helping educators support both the learning and the social-emotional needs of these students. With homelessness and housing insecurity expected to increase in the wake of the COVID pandemic, this is especially important now and over the coming academic year.

This webinar is partially funded through a grant provided by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa SEED Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Success.

All webinars are hosted in Zoom, an online conferencing software. You will receive the Zoom meeting link after registering. Before joining the webinar, go to the Zoom Download Center to download the Zoom software to your computer or mobile device and review the computer system requirements to download Zoom.
