Fire Prevention Week with the Lake Ridge Fire Department and Longfellow!
Thank you to Lake Ridge Fire Department for coming to Longfellow and teaching our students what to do in the event of a fire emergency. LRFD took the kids through a mock fire drill, stop drop and roll, and the do’s & don'ts. We are so grateful they took time out of their schedule to help our students!

Meet our Homeschool Liaison Jennah Reyes
Hi, my name is Jennah Reyes! I am the Homeschool liaison for Longfellow New Tech. I am 29 years old, and my birthday is Jan 17th which makes me a Capricorn if you are into that ☺️ . I grew up in the Lake Ridge community so I can relate to some of the struggles some families may face. I graduated from Calumet High class of 2013. During my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family & baking. I am the CEO of The Cleaning Fairy and I have done home health care for 10 years. I am so thrilled to be a reference for the community. I love all the children and helping others makes my heart happy. I strongly believe it takes a village to raise a child. I take pride in helping to provide a safe and healthy environment that fosters growth.
Substitutes Needed!
Lake Ridge New Tech Schools has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing (KES) for our substitute teacher and paraprofessional needs. KES will handle all the aspects of our substitute employee program including hiring, training, and scheduling. There are several advantages to this partnership, such as the opportunity for substitute employees to have year-round employment and additional incentives exclusive to employment with KES.
To apply for a substitute teacher position in the Lake Ridge New Tech Schools, please contact the local Kelly Educational Staffing branch office at 219-879-6131 or 2359@kellyservices.com.
