Teacher and Educator of the Month
This month we have two staff members that were chosen as outstanding educators for the month. The first is Jim Bob Ashmore. Jim Bob teaches Accelerated and AP US History. His students say he makes learning fun and interactive, he engages everyone, and that he is a kind and considerate teacher.
The second educator being recognized is LCHS Special Services Counselor, Kristen Watkins. She is compassionate and caring to all the students she is responsible for, keeps parents well informed, and goes above and beyond for her students.

CTE Spotlight - Advanced Culinary
Mrs. Allen's Advanced Culinary Arts students are participating in a Holiday Showdown. Student chefs work in teams to complete technical food challenges, such as eggrolls, empanadas, and a gingerbread house competition. Chefs must work exclusively with their teams to prepare dishes for judges. Teams compete in "snowball" challenges and food safety tasks to receive virtual money to purchase items for upcoming challenges, including a holiday charcuterie board presentation and cookies for Santa. Winners will be awarded with a grand prize just in time for the Christmas break.
