NORTHEAST BOCES ALL BOARD RETREAT
On Monday night, members of the Akron School Board joined other school board members from our area at the NE BOCES All Board Retreat held in Yuma. The focus of the retreat was on the great career pathway and graduate profile work happening in the NE BOCES schools, made possible through grants secured by NE BOCES. The evening highlights included presentations from NE BOCES Executive Director, Tamara Durbin, representatives from Colorado Education Initiative, and a five member superintendent panel. Board members were able to ask questions and learn about the great work happening in our NE BOCES schools.

Honor Band
Ms. Lowry and select students from our middle school and high school traveled to Holyoke to participate in honor band. They participated in the concert held in the evening.
Great job Rams!
Knowledge Bowl
The Akron Knowledge Bowl competed in Sterling on Monday. There were two teams, a first team and a second team with only two members. Team 1 started off in first place after the written round. After a tough oral round they slipped into the second room, but battled back to 3rd place for the meet. Team 2 did well competing with just two members.
Both teams are headed to regionals this weekend at University High School in Greeley.
