Dear Westmount Families,
The year is flying by! We are grateful for the time we have with your children. As we head into November, we look forward to quite a few exciting events. This month, our virtue is Collaboration. At Westmount School, collaboration is a huge focus for staff and students. Report cards will go out on Nov. 21 followed by student-led conferences and parent-teacher interviews on Nov. 23 and 24. We are excited to be able to have these in person! As families, you will have the opportunity to experience some of the activities and learning that your child does while at school. Our House League program is off and running. All students and staff are assigned to a team. We have 3 teams: Blue Huskies, Green Wolves, and Red Coyotes. We like to say that this is their team for life! Our first Spirit Day took place on Oct. 27 when our students showed off their wild hair and socks. Anyone who participates earns valuable points for their House League team. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay posted! #community
Circle of Excellence will continue this year. Five times throughout the year we will be celebrating one student from every class at monthly assemblies for their effort or excellence. Parents will be invited! Also, our Hockey Program started in October. Students not only learn on-ice skills but also practice leadership and teamwork skills. Finally, we are excited to let you know that our Safety Patrol team is out before and after school keeping our students safe as they cross the 817.
