Welcome to 2020 in Choral Department at Tuscarora High School. I can't believe that we are entering a new decade and that we are winding down our Fall Semester. Late November and December were jam packed with hard work and events. We had our 14th Annual Thanksgiving Feast during Show Choir Class, Fall Adjudication where the Mixed and Show Choirs scored straight "Superiors", Caroling in downtown Frederick, an excellent Winter Concert, Caroling in the halls at THS and finally the 14th Annual Benefit Concert where our students performed combined numbers with Frederick's show choir and the Mixed Choir and then wowed the audience with this years competition show "Stage-Struck". Both the students from Mixed Choir and the Titan Tempo Show Choir did a terrific job and should be proud of their accomplishments.

As we move through January towards the end of the first semester there is still much to be done. Benchmarks, Frederick's Benefit Concert, which had to be moved once again and is now scheduled for Thursday, January 9th, All County rehearsals and performances, our fall? Bingo Fundraiser which is Sunday, January 12th(more about that to come), and our Show Choir Individual Performance Showcase on the 29th of January. So the end of the semester will be jam packed as well.

I am very concerned about our Fall Fundraiser Bingo which will be held on Sunday January 12th at the Elks Club on Willowdale Drive in Frederick. This is one of our two major fundraisers where we expect to earn between $6,000-$7,000. We were late getting it organized, and then paperwork for students was not given out until about a week before the benefit concert. We need to get out and get sponsors, sell tickets and make this as profitable as we can. I would hate to have to take benefit proceeds and use them for the general budget as that would undoubtedly make trips to warmer places more difficult on many. But if that is necessary to raise the general budget then so be it. Please make every effort to support these fundraising efforts. As always, if there are questions or concerns please let me know. Come join us for a fun afternoon of Bingo this Sunday, January 12, to benefit the THS Choir program. Many thanks to Mrs. Suomela for all her hard work with putting this together! There are still lots of volunteer opportunities available. We need adults to man the main entrance, sell raffle tickets, 50/50's and pull tabs. We also need a few more students to help out by being prize runners. Please help out by volunteering before, during and/or after the bingo. You can order tickets through Saturday for $30. Once Sunday hits, the tickets are $40 at the door. Take a look at the following links for more information:

You can pay the dues for 2019-2020 participation with our online payment system. You can also pay with a check made out to THSPAB. Please put any checks in an envelope, clearly marked with what the check is for and the student's name. Please place the envelope in the wooden box in Mr. Moore's room. These dues are needed to help pay for costumes, music and transportation. The fees are as follows:
