The Color Prayer
Lord, you’re offering us this New Year like a stained-glass window to be put together with 365 pieces of all colors representing the days of my life.
In it, I will put the red of my love and enthusiasm,
the violet of my sorrows and mourning,
the green of my hopes and the indigos of my dreams,
the blue or the gray of my commitments and struggles,
the yellow and orange of my harvests …
The white will be my ordinary days and the black for those who are absent from you.
I will cement this with my faith and my trust in you.
Lord, all I ask you is that, by the light of your presence and the Holy Spirit, this stained glass of my life be illuminated from within.
Then, through transparency, those I will meet during this year will discover the face of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Atlas' Canvas
Hello Everyone!
I’m Atlas, Atlas the deer!
I was thrilled to meet all of you at Grand Assembly, and it will be even better seeing all of you throughout the year!
We have a ton of fun things planned this year, so make sure to attend our School of Instruction where all of this information will be shared!
Our term this year has a lot of important hidden meanings! Did you know “Atlas” was the Greek Titan who held up the sky? Ashley named me Atlas to remind her that she can’t hold up the sky – and neither can any of you. Our greatest superpower is asking for help! Make sure you don’t try to hold up the whole world on your shoulders, ask for help, and take care!
See you all soon!

Introducing Our Traveling Deer
Notes from the Heart
Hello South Carolina Rainbow Family!
Our Grand Assembly Session is now a page in our Rainbow Book of Memories. There were so many moments to remember! The decorations, the marches, the meetings, the competitions, and the food were all wonderful. We had the nicest guests from California, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, and the Assemblies did a terrific job hosting them. The Generation Gap game was lots of fun and the Grand Banquet was beautiful. The devotional was very thought-provoking and the Grand Installation was exciting. Congratulations to Bethany, her Grand Officers and Grand Representatives, and all of South Carolina Rainbow on a fabulous year and a great Grand Session!
We have another exciting year ahead of us. Ashley is prepared to lead us as we take up our palettes and paint a masterpiece of a Grand Year. It all begins with our School of Instruction on August 26. Be sure to be there to learn more about Ashley's plans for our jurisdiction and how you can be a colorful part of our Rainbow masterpiece.
Ashley selected some wonderful things for our Grand Term. I am particularly impressed with the scripture she selected from Ephesians 2:10. "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." That verse tells us two powerful things. First, God created each of us to be His masterpiece. We are not a scribble on a page or even a pretty good drawing--we are fine art! Second, we are created to do the good things that He planned that we should do. That sounds like acts of kindness and service to me! So each of us is priceless art fulfilling a priceless purpose!
Let us use this year to develop ourselves into the masterpieces that God intends us to be. Let us do so as a Rainbow family and let's grow our family to become a huge gallery of priceless art pieces. Let us paint the year with every color of the Rainbow through kindness and service. And let us never forget that we are priceless art fulfilling a priceless purpose.
With brush in hand to color my world,
Mrs. Dedra

Goose Creek Gallery
News from the Creek
Hello to all! We have had a busy few weeks. First of all, we met at the park in Goose Creek for a small Founder’s Day Picnic, on July 11th before our meeting. We just had snacks and played for a few. Then we were off to the lodge to work on Grand Assembly stuff. Then on Wednesday, off we went to Grand Assembly. When we got there everything was beautifully decorated for our Remember these Moments Session. It was great to see our friends again. It was really nice to see Momma Dawn, she is a past Mother Advisor of Myrtle Beach our sister Assembly. Jillian, Jennifer, and Savannah rocked their ritual work and their floor work. All of us were very proud of them. Savannah and Jennifer did their Grand Representative Moon competition. Jennifer was the Grand Representative of Canada and Alaska, and Savannah was the Grand Representative of Arizona and California. Her California counterpart was at Grand and got to be a part of the competition. Goose Creek had the privilege of being Grand Representative of Montana and North Dakota, and Jennifer, and Savannah did that one together. It was very nice to see and hear what all the girls found out about their states. Savannah competed in the real talent with a Dance routine. She was amazing. She received second place in that competition. Our Banner got 3rd place in Banner competition. Goose Creek received a Gold Certificate for our Efficiency Rating. Savannah was appointed Grand Charity and Jr. Ex. She is also Grand Representative of New York and West Virginia. We are super excited about her appointments. She will do a wonderful job. Jillian and Jennifer received their Majority at Grand. We are sad that they are no longer Rainbow Girls but we know they will still be around and we pray that God guides them in the direction He wants them to go. Grand Assembly was super fun and everyone had a great time. We look forward to seeing what our new Grand Worthy Advisor Ashley has in store for this year.

On Founder’s Day in July, we went to our Lodge and worked on things for Grand. We had one prospective member. Afterward, we went to the Rock Hill Country Club pool and hung out, laughed, had lunch, and had lots of fun for about three hours, before parting ways (while very sunburnt).
At Grand Aileana and Annice participated in Ritual Competition, Aileana, Annice and Bailey participated in Real Talent, the Assembly participated in Entertaining Talent, Banner Competition, turned in a Scrapbook, and Aileana, Ashley, Annice, and Bailey all participated in the Grand Representative parade. Bailey and Annice were in the Grand Choir and Annice served as a Grand Page. Bailey won first place in Real Talent with “I Dreamed a Dream,” it was beautiful! Annice won first place in Novice and Intermediate Ritual, as well as “Best in Show” in Talent Showcase. Aileana won third place for Novice Ritual and Ashley won first place for Grand Representative. Ashley received 7 years perfect attendance while Annice received one year. And our Assembly received a certificate for being a Gold Assembly.
Our next meeting – on Wednesday the 26th of July will be a Christmas in July theme, and we will have a cookie exchange! Come join us!
Much Rainbow Love,
~Annice

SCAMM - South Carolina Association of Majority Members
SCAMM is in the beginning stages of a project to assist with funds for scholarships. We are asking for donations of men’s button-down shirts that we can in turn create aprons to keep food off of the young ladies' beautiful gowns. If someone (like myself) has a shirt from someone special, just let us know when the shirt is turned in so we can get that specific apron back to them. We will be gladly accepting men’s button-down shirts at the next few jurisdictional get-togethers like the school of instruction. The aprons will go on sale as soon as the finished products have been created. Please feel free to reach out to me or Heather Kamphaus for any questions or concerns. Thank you for everything you do for South Carolina Rainbow!

Summerlynn Travels to Nevada Grand Assembly
Ashley and Annice Travel to Texas' Grand Assembly
This year, we had the pleasure of taking our rocket ship to visit Texas' Grand Assembly! Bailey, the GWA had a beautiful theme of “I Belong Among the Stars! With the assembly room decorated with Galaxies, Spaceships, and aliens! We celebrated 100 years of Texas Rainbow, and had a birthday party in Rainbow’s honour! I got to be included in the Grand Representative Flag Cavalcade alongside my counterpart Jillian! In Texas, all the girls wear white dresses, so our coloured dresses really stood out! Texas believes in uniformity and solidarity, so if a single grand floor officer has not earned her Grand Cross – none of the officers will wear theirs. Speaking of solidarity, the PGWAs included my mom in all of their PGWA stuff and even gave her a Texas PGWA t-shirt with her name on the back that they wore during introductions! There were 29 PGWAs at their Grand!
We, (Mrs. Dedra, Annice, Mr. Dan, my mom, and me) enjoyed the fun night at Hawaiian Falls and everything that was Texas Rainbow. Texas was AWESOME and we hope to visit their Grand Assembly again someday!

Ashley and Annice head further west to New Mexico's Grand Assembly
We (Ashley, me, and my mom) also had the pleasure to visit New Mexico’s Grand Assembly this year! While they are small, they are definitely mighty! Everyone was super friendly, and I made many friends that are now planning on coming to visit us! This year they didn’t have a Grand Worthy Advisor, but their PGWAs traded around the position for each of the sessions. Their assembly and dining rooms were decorated marvelously, according to their theme “Forever the Rainbow.” Ashley and I also got to participate in their cavalcade of flags, which was one of the most exciting things ever! All of the out-of-state guests were included in everything, including a pool party for those without their Grand Cross! Their ritual work was stunning and their dresses were beautiful! Going to New Mexico’s Grand was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced – They were happy to be there, very friendly, and had an epic dance party – and it would be fantastic to be able to go again!
