Weekly Update

March 17th, 2023
Dear Parents & Guardians,
Brunswick High School is launching a search for a new athletic director to oversee and manage all aspects of athletic programming for grades 9 through 12, including hiring coaches, scheduling competition, team meets & travel, and preparing & administering the athletic budget. For this search process, BHS will assemble a hiring committee comprised of school board members, building & district administrators, school staff, parents, and student athletes.
We would like to have three parents participate on the committee. Please carefully review the following search process details and timeline. To participate, a parent must be able to attend all meeting dates and times. All committee meetings will take place at Brunswick High School between 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. If you would like to join the committee as a parent, please e-mail me at thenninger@brunswicksd.org. In my consideration, parents of student athletes who respond first will be given preference until the three slots on the committee are filled. If selected to serve, I will e-mail you directly.

TEAN Toiletry Drive
It is time for TEAN's annual toiletry drive! So many students are in need of these items, and a small donation to this drive will make a big difference. The drive begins Monday March 20th and goes through March 26th. Kate Furbish School, Harriet Beecher Stowe School, Brunswick Junior High and Brunswick High will have drop off bins in the lobby, which will be accessible during school hours. Also, donors can drop off items anytime in the bin behind Hawthorne School, at 46 Federal Street. The bin is accessed via Green St and is in the back parking lot. We are collecting the following items: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Toothbrushes (we don't need toothpaste), combs, and brushes. Laundry soap travel size/packets. Deodorant (lots of deodorant!!) and menstrual pads (all varieties, and tampons are not needed at this time). Chapstick, travel tissues, razors, shaving cream, and pullups/overnights in size 6/7. All items can go to any drop off location, and TEAN will sort and deliver as appropriate. Many thanks in advance! Questions can go to TEAN at emergencyactionnetwork@gmail.com
