A message from the Executive Director
Dear GLOBE community,
Spring Break is almost upon us. Please take the time to relax and recharge. I would like to remind our GLOBE community that Friday, March 31, is a normal school day.
School Uniform Survey
You may have noticed a recent email about our school uniform survey. If you missed it, please help us by completing the short survey here. Thank you to all those who have already replied.
Have a fabulous Spring Break and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, April 10.
Sincerely,
Christi Elliott-Earby
Executive Director
The final dress-down Thursday is tomorrow
Help our 8th grade students raise money for their trip to Savannah by bringing $1 to dress-down on Thursday. Parent volunteers will be collecting money at the front door and walker door (LC) and the carpool door and instrument drop off door (UC). Please make every effort to bring the exact change.

Label your Items
The Lost and Found areas at both campuses are overflowing. Please take a moment to label your items with your student's first and last name, so that our wonderful volunteers can get them back to you. Writing with a permanent marker on a tag usually works fine. If you'd like to order waterproof customizable labels, please consider ordering from Mabel's Labels, as they donate 20% back to GLOBE. Enter The GLOBE Academy Foundation in the "Support a Fundraiser" field.
Become a PTCC Officer
GLOBE's Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC) will elect new leaders for the 2023-2024 school year in April 2023. Step up and nominate yourself to serve as an Officer.
If you are interested in running for the position of Co-Chair, Secretary, or Treasurer for the PTCC, please email your name, position of interest and a summary (not to exceed 500 words) on why you would like to hold an officer position to the Executive Director, Christi Elliott-Earby and PTCC Co-Chairs. Please detail your past experience at GLOBE or other school leadership positions. Candidates will be evaluated based on why they are interested and prior parent involvement/volunteer experience. Deadline for nominations (including self nominations) is today, March 29, 2023. School-wide elections will be held April 12-26, 2023. If you have any questions, feel free to email PTCC Officers.
Nutrition
Have you checked your students lunch balance?
The goal of The GLOBE Academy's Nutrition Program is to provide healthy meals to our children during the school day. In order to serve healthy, high-quality meals to all children, we must make sure we are financially secure. Our GLOBE parents/guardians play a key role in this effort, and are responsible for purchases made by your child in our cafeteria.
Please visit MyPaymentsPlus.com to check your account, monitor activity and make payments. Cafeteria payments can also be paid by check or money order at the front desk. If you need assistance or think your household may qualify for free or reduced meals, please visit schoolcafe.com.
Joining your student for lunch?
Any parents/guardians joining their child(ren) for lunch can purchase a school meal at the cost of $3.50 per meal. This cost has to be paid for in cash to the vendor.
Please feel free to email the nutrition department if you have any questions or concerns.
Would you like to be a Host Family in 2023/24?
GLOBE is looking for Host Families for the year 2023/24. Language Support Assistants (LSA) from China, France, and Spain, are an essential piece of instruction at The GLOBE Academy and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue this wonderful support program. Please reach out to Mrs. Daphna Malka if you are interested in hosting.
Board of Directors
