This month, MTS will be focusing on how to say farewell in bəqəlšułucid. Encourage your student to practice using this video from the MIT Language Dept.
Earlier this month, several teachers attended the 2nd Annual Food Sovereignty Symposium. They are bringing back all that they’ve learned to share with staff.
The Mountain to Sound program at MTS is expanding! We had our first booth at Community Day, and we are excited to extend the learning to 1st and 3rd Grade this year!
Please join us for S.T.E.M Night on November 16th from 5:30 to 7:30. Come and learn about catapults! All are welcome!

STEM NIGHT
Elementary
Elementary has really been exploring our transition to Fall! From Tomanamus day, trips to the Pumpkin Patch, learning about how things grow and change, and even our Halloween parade, Elementary is fully embracing the season! Check out some of the amazing things we have been up to!
Secondary - 6th through 12th
Friday Schedule: With the exception of Culture Fridays, secondary has adjusted our Friday Schedule to include time in each class for teachers and students to work on interventions/enrichment along with reteaching of difficult content from the week before. On Oct 27, 2023 we ran the new schedule with great success as students and teachers talked about how they were able to accomplish more work and use this time for interventions successfully.
We continue to work on best steps for supporting students in Social Emotional Well Being, Academic Success, Attendance, and other areas as we go through the year.
Sometime in the next couple weeks you will receive quarter one progress reports. Please take a look at positives you can congratulate them on and take a look at their attendance and areas where they may need support as well.
