A note from Nurse Juanita:
This year in addition to FLU season, we are also still dealing with COVID. Because both of these viruses are very contagious, it is imperative that students stay home from school as well as contact your doctor if your child is feeling bad. Some symptoms to watch for are fever, cough, temperature of 100.4 or greater, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Please notify Nurse Juanita: 1) if your child has been in contact with someone who has tested positive, 2) if they have 2 or more symptoms (symptoms may include: fever of 100.4 or higher, cough, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea), or 3) your child has been tested for COVID. Students that have been tested for COVID must stay at home until they receive the results of that test. COVID testing is free at the Health Department Monday through Friday from 8-11.
We continue to encourage masks when possible and hand washing frequently.
#GivingTuesday
Several of our teachers have projects currently listed through DonorsChoose.org to fund new supplies, and on December 1st all donations will be doubled. For example, if you donate $5 toward a project, it will be matched as a $10 donation, or a $20 donation would become a $40 donation. We have been fortunate to receive many things through fundraising using this format, and would appreciate any help! Click a teacher's name below to be redirected to their project or search for projects in Shelbyville, TN.
