When can I start my KSDE 5-year license renewal?
A license may be renewed not more than six months prior to the expiration date of your current license.

Your district and teachers were beyond dedicated this summer and landed in the Top Ten of Greenbush University participation.

This means teachers in your district completed enough Greenbush University sessions that the number of certificates completed was more than 140 other districts across the state.

We're thrilled to have been able to work with so many of your teachers this summer and want to thank you all for your incredible efforts to keep improving for your students.

This is different from STAR, so please share with your staff. (You will notice the student username = first name and ID; password = abc123.) The log in site should be linked to your webpages. Southwest Plains Overview of the KSDE Licensing/Mentoring requirements – KSDE and SBOE changed some of the mentoring requirements and programs in the summer of 2020. With COVID, there was so much going on that it is now showing up on some licenses with their renewal instructions.

While some programs now require extra mentoring, KSDE is only able to fund the first two years for the stipend reimbursement program for KSDE qualified mentors. The stipend program runs year to year depending on funds.

As always, call KSDE for the final answer to your questions, as there are so many factors and situations which may arise.
