Dear Break-O-Day Families,
Thank you to our families and students in 3-5 for all of the hard work on ILEARN! We appreciate the students doing their best work! As we move into May, we will be finishing up our last units of study and reassessing student progress for the priority standards on the report card. The goal is for students to score 3.0 or higher on the skills on the report card. We still have much to learn and do during the last month of school!
This will be a busy month! Please mark your calendars for these end of year events!
Thursday, May 11th–Our first ever “Fine Arts Night” featuring an art show, our first graders music program, and the spring BOGO Book Fair.
Tuesday, May 23rd- Field Day–Please look for information in our newsletter from Mr. Cooper about signing up to be a parent volunteer. For this event, those parents who are registered volunteers may attend Field Day, however this event is not an open event for all visitors. If you are wanting to attend, be certain you fill out the volunteer information for Mr. Cooper!
Friday, May 26th- Last Day of School, Awards Day: Times for grade level awards below: Each grade level will be in the gym.
Kindergarten: 10:45-11:15
First Grade: 1:00-1:30
Second Grade: 12:15-12:45
Third Grade: 11:30-12:00
Fourth Grade: 10:00-10:30
Fifth Grade 9:15-9:45
Parents, we would love your feedback on our Warrior Way work this school year! Please take a moment to provide your input HERE so we can continue to grow and improve our work with the Warrior Way at Break-O-Day Elementary!
If you have not yet registered your child for 2023-2024, please take care of this ASAP! As of right now, only 52% of our students are registered for next year. We want to see that percentage rise to help us prepare for next school year. It doesn’t take long and will help us out a lot with our planning!
Unlike in years past, if you do not re-enroll your child for the 2023-2024 school year, you will not be able to see a schedule or homeroom teacher for the following school year. We will have class lists posted live in July the Friday before school begins. To be sure that your child is on a class list and you are able to see their homeroom teacher’s name as soon as available, be sure to re-enroll. This process doesn’t take long and is now available on smartphones as well.
