There is never a dull moment at WMS, and that is what it is suppose to be like! 😊 Middle school is a time for exploration and involvement in various extracurriculars!

• Last week, our Big Champs participants went to Lincoln to mentor and teach 5th graders.
• With the support of Mrs. Svenvold and Ms. Boes, our band and choir students have been actively preparing for District Festival.
• Our WMS Boys' Basketball teams have been taking it to the net this season.
• With the help of Mrs. Houck, a D&D club has begun during recess.
• Every day our TIP (Teens in Partnership) spread joy to others in the school.
• Our 8th-grade mentors meet with their 6th-grade mentees throughout the week.
• Our tutoring program is in full swing every day!
• and so much more...

When participating in extracurriculars, our students are expected to model the WMS Universals: be kind, be respectful, be responsible, be a learner, and be safe. Also, students need to put their academics first. They are responsible for communicating with their teachers as well as following up on classwork that may have been missed due to their participation in an extracurricular.

I know March seems a long time away, but time flies. Our WMS Track season will begin in March. The WMS Track team allows 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to participate.

If your student may be interested in participating in track, please make sure they have had a athletic physical. The physical need to have been completed after July 1, 2023.

Please read the important information below! Italian Cream Sodas will be for sale at the dance. They are $5. WMS is raising money for student-athlete uniforms.

Well, we have the event for you. As we were preparing for our WMS Student Trivia Night, there were many adults to wanted in on the fun and asked for an adult trivia night! Those dreams have come true! Start preparing your team of three! All adults are invited. They do not need to be a WMS parent/guardian.
