Strike Updates
As with last weekend, I'm heading into this weekend without any updates about negotiations between the teachers' union and the district. I know that barganing sessions are set for today and the weekend, and I will let you know as soon as I know whether school is back in session on Monday.
If the strike continues into next week, remember that free meal service will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11:30-1:00. Students will still be able to access some learning opportunities through the PPS Strike Resource Page.
As always, if you need anything, please contact the office during our open hours, 8-4. Our number is (503) 916-6185.
Kid Camp Next Week
Should the PAT Strike continue into next week, Kid Camp (an off-site child care option near 44th and Sandy) will be available Tuesday, November 14, through Friday, November 17. There will be NO Kid Camp Monday, November 13. Kid Camp runs 8:30-3:30 each day, featuring arts and crafts, legos and a playroom available in this ‘free play’ structure camp. Next week, Kid Camp costs $40/day per child to cover the cost of staffing, and is free for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch.
Please CLICK HERE to register. Enrollment is first come first served based on availability.
Kid Camp will not be offered the week of November 20.
