March 2018: Parents & Students
Welcome!
MARCH - Celebrate National Reading Month
Read Across America Day - March 2nd
The National Education Association's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation program to have every child celebrate reading on March 2, which is also the birthday of Dr. Seuss, children's author.
The purpose of Read Across America is to motivate children to read which is an important factor in student achievement and creating lifelong successful readers. Research has shown that children who are motivated and spend more time reading do better in school.
