News, Updates & Reminders: 6/16

Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! We will be leaving at 8:45am this morning for our field trip to Grafton Lake. An email was sent yesterday outlining what students will need to bring and the visitor rules for the park. We will arrive back in time for dismissal.

Also, we have a field trip to Forest Park Zoo planned for Tuesday. Students will also need to bring a lunch, snack and drink on that day.

* Last call on library books. If your student has a book left at home, we appreciate it being returned as soon as possible. Thank you.

* We understand that some students may begin summer vacation before the 26th, which is understandable considering how late we are into June. Please note that we will send report cards home in the mail, to any student that is not in attendance on the last day, as we are required to report attendance for 180 school days. This also includes 6th grade.

* In case you haven't heard, our students achieved their goal of reading over 500 books. This means that I will have to honor my agreement with them and kiss a pig. The Pig-Kissing will commence next Friday. Three cheers for our kiddos and their awesome reading! :-)

* Aftercare & Preschool Families: If you could please have all final payments sent in by Tuesday, 6/20, it would be greatly appreciated.

PTG News:

* Our first day of school for the 23-24 school year will be Wednesday, August 30th. The SY 23-24 calendar is attached below.
