Parent Involvement Opportunities

Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate—the learning and teaching/working conditions—to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey will be used to make changes in your child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection.

Parent participation in the survey is very important. To protect parent/caregiver confidentiality, at least 10 parents must take the survey for results to be summarized for our school.

When parents log onto the survey, they will see explanatory information about the survey and the important information below as to their rights as a survey participant:

Your participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate; not to answer any questions you do not want to answer; and you may stop participating at any time during the survey without penalty. Your responses will be anonymous and confidential.

Our Veterans Day program here at Spring Mills Middle School has become a time honored tradition. This year, we are once again able to host an in-person assembly to honor our veterans. This assembly will take place on November 9, 2023 at 8:15 AM, with a reception to follow.

In addition to the assembly, we also host an “Honor Wall” in our front entryway to recognize the men and women who have selflessly given of themselves to protect our freedom throughout the years. We would like to continue this tradition to honor our military heroes, as well as with a digital format that we can share with even more members of our school campuses and community. We will be creating a video slideshow that will be shared with our students and staff. We would also like to include our Honor Wall slideshow on our SMMS Social Media platforms.

If you would like to honor someone by having their picture included on our Honor Wall, please submit a photo, along with the information below. Please submit a copy of your original photo (do not send in your original copy). You may also email a digital file of the photo to jordan.english@k12.wv.us.
