Week 13- We are so thankful for our Lion Cub Leaders!
Lion Cub families, we had a great week! The book fair was a success because of each of you, and skate night was so much fun! We look forward to planning another skate night opportunity in the third nine weeks. Our students have worked hard to master concepts, skills, and standards. Every day we see them learn and grow!
Below are some updates for this week:
- Families may begin coming to eat lunch with your students. Please reach out to your child's teacher to let them know you are coming so they can plan for seating. Remember: NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK MAY BE BROUGHT IN. Upon arrival, please sign in at the front office and get a visitor's tag.

Volunteer Opportunities
Are you interested in volunteering? We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our duty-free lunch. To volunteer, please complete the background check linked here and then sign-up to volunteer in the sign-up genius linked here.
All volunteers must have a background check on file before they are able to volunteer.
Habit 3: Put First Things First
One of the principles of this habit is to say no to things we know we should not do. For example, if your child is invited to play with a friend and they have not completed their homework, they should be reminded that to put first things first means to work first and then play. This teaches children how to prioritize and delay gratification, a skill that we need to have as an adult.
Talk with your child about how they can put first things first at home and at school.
2nd Place
In 2nd Place is Empatia with 2399 points. The points leaders for this school year are Deysi B. in 4th grade and Luisa H. in Kindergarten. The points leaders for the second nine weeks are Alexis H. in 2nd grade and Isaiah C. in 2nd grade. The student who earned the most points last week was Briseyda P. in 3rd grade!
3rd Place
In 3rd Place is Excelsior with 2350 points. The points leader for this school year is Jordyn R., in 2nd grade. The points leader for the second nine weeks is Jordyn R., in 2nd grade. The student who earned the most points last week was Enreqkua H. in 3rd grade!
