OTC Dual Enrollment

Opens on October 27 at 1pm

Any Junior or Senior who is planning to enroll for Dual Credit at OTC must register with me this Thursday at 1pm. If this time does not work for your student, they have been instructed to contact me by email asap.

Youth Town Hall Meeting

November 7th @ 5pm in the Reach Event Center

Polk County Health Department is hosting a Youth Town Hall Meeting on November 7th at the Reach Event Center here in Pleasant Hope. This will be an opportunity for students and families to come and eat, learn about vaping, and for youth to have a voice in how we approach prevention and other issues as a community. Attention Senior Parents

If you have not filed a FAFSA, please do so ASAP! This is required for students to be eligible for scholarships, including the A+ Scholarship.

Several colleges and universities are offering gap scholarships for those students who are Pell Grant eligible. This means eligible students pay $0 in tuition. See the links below for details. You must file the FAFSA to see if you qualify! Also pay attention to priority application deadlines!

Did you know?

All students should have joined a Google Classroom corresponding to their current grade level: Freshman (Class of 2026), Sophomores (Class of 2025) and so on. Class codes are posted throughout the school. This is how I communicate to student groups as a whole. Although parents cannot join google classrooms, you can always ask your student to what the latest announcement was.

Please encourage your student, especially if they are a junior or senior, to check for announcements on a regular basis. Automatic emails are sent to their student email notifying them a new announcement has been made (but they have to check their email as well!).
