Message from our Co-Presidents
Dear Community Families -
What an honor it was to have 123 Andres to perform at our Hispanic Heritage Assembly on Friday, October 15. We hope your student enjoyed the performance. Cheers to your support of our Pledge Drive which funds our Multicultural Assemblies!
Speaking of Pledge Drive, results are in to wrap up our 6 weeks of Pledge Drive Incentives. MANY THANKS to the 269 Families participating (65.29% participation) with $180,287 pledged -- another record high participation during the first 6 weeks of school compared to previous 6 years. Our work is not done! We still have $159,713 to raise to be able to fund everything next year!
There's a lot going on behind the scenes with the Spirit Store and Parade of Mask this month! Before you know it, November will be here! Book Fair Committee and Readathon Committee are both working hard to bring this year's theme to life!
We will be completing our 6 weeks of AM Check In and PM Supervision Volunteer Rotations this week. THANK YOU to all parent volunteers! Rotation with 5th Grade will restart the week of November 1st.
Until next time ... enjoy the Fall!
Sincerely,
Kate Harrington and Stefania Willens
CFF, Co-President

CMCS's Annual Parade of Masks is almost here!
CMCS’s Halloween Festival, Parade of Masks, is back and it’s this FRIDAY! Below is some
general information about the event:
1. POM will take place on the upper yard after lunch. Due to Covid restrictions and for
the safety of our students, campus will be CLOSED to parent spectators. Hopefully,
later this year, restrictions will loosen and there will be more on-campus events that
we can all enjoy.
2. Unless you’ve heard differently from your teacher, students are being asked to come
to school in their costumes to save time on changing, etc. Costumes must not restrict
the ability to use the restroom without assistance, must not restrict learning, must not
restrict the ability to eat lunch, must allow for the wearing of the covid face mask
underneath. And please remember that we don't allow costumes containing any
weapons or anything too gruesome.
3. There will be an all-school parade and then the children will enjoy the free booths in
2 separate groups. Only half the students will be on the upper yard at a time during
the carnival. K-2nd will engage in booths for 30 minutes and then will switch with
3rd-5th where they will enjoy their 30 minutes.
4. Kids are NOT allowed to eat at the event, therefore, there will not be any food
booths.
5. The fifth grade classes will have up 2 photo areas set up where your child can come
alone or with friends and have their photos taken! Photos will later be available for
purchase! More details to come!
Thank you to our wonderful community for coming together, with little notice, to put on this
event for our kids. Also, thanks to your generosity, every student will be taking home a
Halloween Treat Bag! If you have been meaning to buy one but just didn’t get around to doing
it, please still do. The money raised from this will go towards funding our enrichment
programs next year!
