CONGRADULATIONS CROSS-COUNTRY WILDCATS AND COACH PIPE!
- 8th Grade Boys: Qiuyi Yan ran a PR and dropped his last year's time on this course by 1 minute and 6 seconds! Emmanual Monsolvo ran a PR and sliced 1 minute and 22 seconds off his LY time! Jackson Pauley again ran up an age group, finished 14th overall, and set his new PR for the course by 50 seconds. He also lowered his mile time from the previous week from 6:44 to 6:32!
- 6-7 Grade Girls: there was improvement across the board. Cass Mencias chopped 22 seconds off her mile time from the prior week and ran an 8:27 mile pace. Faith Smith and Olivia Gold both lowered their mile pace by 41 seconds from 9:28 to 8:47, and Madison Payne lowered her mile time by 19 seconds to 10:18. Sienna Struyck lowered her mile time yet again to 7:40 pace and finished 15th out of 100 runners.
- 6-7 Grade Boys: Eathan Bray lowered his mile time by 5 seconds to 7:49. Elijah Tyler ran a PR on the course by 55 seconds from last year and improved his mile time by 19 seconds to 7:19. Alex Nord ran a great race and lowered his mile time by 15 seconds to 7:23.
It was a tough race with the different surfaces and some runners who were recovering from being sick will see their times bounce back this coming week. Coach Pipe has been impressed by the dedication and improvement shown by the entire group and the hard work, including the 6:15 am Friday workouts! The running, weights, plank, push-ups, stretching, and rolling is beginning to show in their improvement.

Important information from the California Department of Education.
BUSD Families,
The California Department of Education passed legislation this past July that all school districts must remind parents and legal guardians of all students in the Bonsall Unified School District of their responsibilities for keeping firearms out of the hands of children as required by California law. SECURED CAMPUS AND ENTRANCE INFORMATION
ATTENTION PARENTS!
We are excited to announce that we extended our safety and security for all staff and students by installing a fence around the front of our school! Visitors will be required to bring ID and check in at the Welcome Booth before anyone is permitted on campus.
Only emergency vehicles, buses, those with handicap placards, and those with other special placards have access to the upper lot, emergency lane closest to the front of our schools. You will need to show your placard to Campus Security.
This decision to enforce our existing parking lot plan aligns with the recommendations of our community safety partners and will increase our ability to maintain a safe and secure site:
- When dropping students off, please use the lower levels of the parking lot.
- When visiting either the middle or the high school office, please park in the lower levels, bring your ID to the Welcome booth, and check in with the appropriate staff.
We appreciate your partnership and support in our efforts to provide the highest levels of safety for our students
