One more for His kingdom

On a village visit to pray for a sick women, we discovered that her husband wasn't saved. After lengthy explanation on the love of God and no guarantee for life tomorrow, the man in the white t-shirt accepted Jesus as his Savior.

Bibles and Song books

One of my greater joys is to teach and encourage the recent converts from voodoo to Jesus. A supporter gave money for bibles and song books and you can see the joy on their faces of having God's word in their hands.

God's protection

The roads are treacherous and village visits can be dangerous. This day we tipped over 3 times and miracoulously, no one got hurt.


Psalm 118:17 I will not die, instead I will live to tell what the Lord has done.

Training the next generation

My boys worked so hard taking care of their gardens. I could see the pride and confidence growing inside of them as the vegetables grew in the ground.

Equipping the ladies

Trainings continue on the importance of a home/yard garden. Gave away vegetable seeds and trees so their yard could look like mine, bursting with green life.

Rising self-esteem

One of my desires is to raise up young ladies confident in who they are in Jesus. After a few months, I am starting to see their self esteem increasing and they are treating each other with greater respect.

Changing Seasons

We all go through seasons in our lives when we feel like we're buried under a foot of snow. That was the season I was in recently. I came home a few months ago physically, emotionally and spiritually burnt out. My five years of serving full time in Haiti was taking a toll. I knew it was time to come home when my pastor shared ten signs of missionary burnout with me and I realized I had all of them.


Since being stateside, I've spent hours in God's word, praying and soaking in his presence as I let him minister to me. I opened my heart and ears to listen to his voice as I looked for direction for my future.


I am beginning to feel like a tulip emerging after a long winter season. The Lord has given me assurance of plans for a hope and a future. I will continue my ministry projects in Haiti but won't be as hands on. My team, with Jhanson acting as director, will continue with the trainings, demonstration gardens, and tree plantings and distributions. There won't be many changes other than I will not be there managing the day to day activites. My plans are to continue visiting 3-4 times a year and leading teams. God has started a good work there and it will continue. I thank you for your continued prayers as I transition into a new season in life.

Site of future church

A voodoo temple once stood on this land. It has now been dedicated for use to serve the true God. I am partnering with my Haitian pastor in building a church where the 50+ converts to Jesus can worship in their village and will not have to walk hours to church. This is a miraculous story of the power of God's love transforming lives.


We need funding to pay for the project and also mission teams to come and work along-side of Haitians to construct the church. Please prayerfully consider helping us build this church. Contact me if interested in joining a team.

Haiti Bound

On February 1st, my friend Tracy and I will be heading to Haiti. I will be checking on all the projects, meeting with my many groups to see how they are doing, making building plans for the the church, and doing village ministry. I am especially excited to visit my newly converted friends and encourage them.


As food is always a necessity, I am hoping to raise some money to purchase rice and cooking supplies to share in the villages. Most of us can't realize the stress of not having food to feed our children, but in Haiti this is their daily struggle. Please consider a donation of $25 to purchase food for a family.

The wall came tumbling down

One of my farmers has a dire need. Lucilla is a sweet, elderly women who works hard in the garden and often takes care of her many small grandchildren. She always has a smile on her face and waves excitedly every time she sees me. Even though she works hard, she has no means to repair the wall of her house that collapsed after a recent rainstorm. Would you be willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus and bless this dear lady with a new wall? Just write Lucilla on your donation and I will make sure the funds get allocated to her. Thank you!
