Kura Tuatahi Toko Panui
1st February 2024
Quality learning for all in a caring community.
Kounga ako mo katoa i roto i te taiao e atawhai ana.
Dear Parents and Friends of our school Kia Ora/Hello/Kamusta
Kia ora koutou,
Welcome back to school 2024. We have had a great start and it has been wonderful to see everyone back at school rearing and ready to go. We had our first assembly under the trees in front of our new stage :)
As has been shared via facebook over the holidays there has been a lot of work occurring in the playground with the upgrade of our existing sandpit and the construction of a new play area with an additional sandpit, water area and car.
Most of the upgrade has been made possible through our Friends of Toko School (FOTS) and the community's combined efforts to participate and assist with fundraising events. A big thank you to FOTS for your coordination of events and fundraising to support the children's learning experiences at our school.
We also received a donation from TET towards our new shade structure which we are very appreciative of.
The building work continues in the main block and we hope to have this all completed by the end of February all going to plan.
We have decided to renumber the classrooms so they are in order:
Room 1 and 2 remain the same.
Room 6 becomes Room 3 - Mrs Fuller
Room 5 becomes Room 4 - Miss Harcourt
Room 4 becomes Rooms 5 - Miss Smith
Room 3 becomes Rooms 6
Ngā mihi,
Kim Waite
Principal
Welcome to Miss Harcourt in Room 4, Chad K Room 4, Kyeleigh K Room 2 and Theo W who started in the last week of term 4. Happy Toko School days to you all :)
FRIENDS OF TOKO SCHOOL
Welcome to the Friends of Toko School (FOTS).
Each year our school community support our school by participating in a variety of events/activities that are fun, sociable and supports your own children's school experience at our great school. Some of the events/activities raise money and others support the school curriculum and general running of the school. We really encourage all of our school families to get involved and to get to know other families in our school.
"Together everyone achieves more"
Our committee meet once or twice per term, term time only and our sub committees meet as required. We are on the lookout for new parents to join our committee and for each family to indicate which events/activities that may be able to assist with during 2024.
Can you please fill in this form to indicate how you can help out during 2024:
