Here's How It Works:

Step 1: Accept the Challenge

Read or be read to for at least 20 minutes a day during this program (or otherwise specified by your teacher).

Step 2: Sponsor Sheet

Ask your family and friends to support your reading by sponsoring you.

Step 3: Reading Journal

Log your reading time in the squares on your Reading Journal.

Step 4: Book Order Form

Turn in your Book Order Form, sponsor sheet, and money collected in an envelope (due March 29th).

Never Get Bored Draw and Paint

Discover how to doodle a sloth, turn pencil shavings into pictures and draw in ways you never imagined. Then try printing, splattering paints and painting with dots. Hi! My name is Lauren Roede

I am the high school math teacher here at TCS and a literacy advocate. My passion is to see our children grow to their full potential by increasing knowledge, attention span, and motivation -- through books!

TCS has issued a challenge to your students this March: to make reading a daily habit. I am adding a challenge on top of this! The three students with the highest recorded reading minutes in all of TCS Elementary will receive a UBAM prize bag of goodies!
