We are moving the date of the BRIGHTON Parent Appreciation Party from December 10th to December 17th at 8:35, right after drop off. Don't worry if you can't make it to this one, we plan to continue hosting these parties monthly, so you'll have another chance to catch one.

Strive Center for Autism is beginning monthly Parent Appreciation Parties! The purpose of these events is to get parents together to get to know one another and feel a sense of community. Strive will provide a space for parents to connect outside of the center! Strive staff will not be present at the event, as we hope it will be a time for families to casually network. Parents and caregivers are welcome!

At the Brighton location, the event will be held in the Coffee Beanery right near the center . Feel free to head over after you drop your child off for therapy. You will be given a voucher for your first coffee drink on us! We will have a table marked for Strive Families. Please stay as long as you would like!

Thanks to all who enjoyed a bagel and coffee in Burton earlier today! We'll plan another party in January - and we will rotate between morning and afternoon times to catch more caregivers. Please feel free to make suggestions for times or preferred treats!

We will celebrate the holidays with a party and PAJAMA DAY on Friday, December 17th.

Children will rotate through fun activities with an emphasis on peer interaction and gross and fine motor activities.

We would like to allow children to exchange a gently used book with a friend - if you are able to send in a gently used book by Wednesday, we'll have the children wrap the books and exchange them at the party. We have extra books available if you're not able to send one in.

Children (and staff!) are welcome to wear pajamas all day on Friday!

With the holidays approaching, we want you to know how much we appreciate you sharing your children with us every day of the year! We know that you have placed an enormous amount of trust in us, and we are humbled to spend this time working with your child and family.

At this time of year parents may feel they would like to thank the people who spend so much time with their children. While this may be a common and acceptable thing to do in a number of other settings, due to our professional ethics, we are unable to accept gifts from our families and we wanted to make sure you know that. The Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts and RBTs states clearly that we cannot ethically accept gifts. As we strive to perform to a high standard of practice, we feel it is important to preserve this code.

If you feel like you would like to give an extra special thank you to any of our staff, please know that we would love to hear your feedback on our annual parent surveys, be thrilled to receive a handwritten thank you note, or absolutely treasure a picture your child colors for us. Outside of those things, we cannot accept gifts.
