- Many students have applied to their college of choice before the Nov. 1 priority deadline.
- Of those students some have received their acceptance letters.
- FAFSA opened up Oct. 1 and we already have students who have submitted their's.
- Soon the college's will send out Financial Award Package letters. Be sure to read through them as some include scholarship opportunities.
- BUT - Its not to late to submit a college application. In fact many colleges & universities have rolling admissions. Let us know how we can help.

NEW! Groth & Associates Scholarship
The Attorney’s at Groth and Associates have spent years in school learning how to help you in different aspects of law ranging from personal injury to business law. They understand the stresses of life and want to lend a hand outside of their normal duties. Their time in school has helped them all understand the importance of education. It takes hard work and perseverance to earn an education and they would like to reward you for your hard work by offering a scholarship to relieve a bit of the financial stress that education can bring. The scholarship awarded will be for $1,000 to one student to use towards furthering their education.
To apply:
-Must have a G.P.A. of 3.0+
-Fill out the form with your contact information
-Attach school transcript to verify enrollment
-Attach a 500-word essay about difficulties or hardships you have had to personally overcome
–Application Deadline: July 31st, 2017
NEW! Indiana Association of Public Schools Superintendent
Introduction: The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents (IAPSS) will award $1,000 scholarship in April 2017.
Requirement: High school senior must be related to an active member of IAPSS. Candidate must be admitted and accepted as full time student at a four or two year college or vocational/technical school.
Process: Applicant must fill out the cover sheet/application and email materials to: Dr. J. T. Coopman, IAPSS, One N. Capitol Avenue, Suite 1215, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Materials must be postmarked by March 31, 2017. Questions should be directed to Dr. Coopman at (317) 639- 0336. jtcoopman@iapss-in.org
Award: Award winner will be announced in April 2017.
New! The Calumet Athletic Officials Association Scholarship
WHO CAN APPLY
All senior males and females who attend high schools in Benton, Jasper, LaPorte, Lake, Newton, Porter , or Starke Counties in Indiana who will be graduating by the end of the Spring term and will be attending an institution of higher education (two or four year) the fall immediately following graduation.
AMOUNT AND USE
The amount of the one-time scholarship is $500.00.
One scholarship will be awarded to a male graduating senior and one awarded to a female graduating senior.
Payment will be made directly to the institution upon written notification of the student’s enrollment.

NEW! Professional Athletes Foundation Scholarship
The Indianapolis Chapter of the National Football League Retired Players Association is offering two scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00 each. The Professional Athletes Foundation’s Student Scholarship Program is seeking qualified recipients.
The committee will consider one male senior and one female senior athlete from your high school who meet the criteria outlined in the attached information. This is a one year scholarship only.
FAFSA Completion Events
Students and parents looking for help completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are encouraged to attend one of these workshops. ISM College Planning Team Members will be at Hobart High School to help families complete the FAFSA on the web or answer any questions a family may have. Call 219/942-8521 ext 8027 with questions.
