Remind 101 has been a valuable tool for the HS office to communicate with parents and students by text and/or email. This is a free service provided by Remind 101. We use Remind 101 for quick reminders on HS deadlines and important events.

Starting in July, Remind 101will be limiting the service they offer for free. In order for us to continue using Remind as a free service, the HS office will now separate each class by students and parents.

Being the parent of a High Schooler usually means maintaining a hectic schedule while trying to rely on a teenager relaying important information to you. Sign up for Remind to stay informed.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION - For those that will be filling out an Alternate Transportation request these will be done within Final Forms. The deadline will be on June 1st. Back to School Day

Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 (8:00am - 8:00pm)

2019 CLASS SUPPLY LIST

Class lists will be available in Early August Online. An email will be sent notifying you that schedules are available online. ***Otsego is NOT responsible for any items purchased before schedules are finalized. Although most schedules are good to go, we cannot guarantee that changes will not be made from now until the start of school.

We strongly encourage all parents and their students utilize this. Parents, be advised that you DO NOT pay HS academic fees during back to school days.

Parents/Students can:

• Purchase Locks
• Purchase your Athletic pay to participate and passes
• Purchase Yearbooks ($55.00)
• Have your School pictures taken (No purchase necessary) goes into the yearbook. (Picture order forms are below for you to print or you can get them at Back to School Days).
• Register your student in Final Forms (If you do this from home early you can be finished much quicker). peopole will be available to assist you at Back to School Days).
• Pick up your child's Chromebook and charger
• Get your Parking passes (No Charge this year)
• Get Bussing and Transportation Information
• Get information with regards to Cafeteria and Food Service
• Pick up Class Schedules
• Purchase class T-Shirts from Student Council

Also Visit:

The Athletic Boosters, Music Boosters, and Post prom tables.

There will be lots of staff on hand to answer questions and take care of you.

Information Regarding our Registration Process for the 2019 - 2020 school year.

After July 1st

For any parent that wants to register their child for next year as a new enrollee, go onto the website (Under the REGISTRATION TAB) STARTING JULY 1ST to register the student into Final Forms.

August 5th

Betsy will be calling all new enrollees/parents and scheduling appointments with the counselors to create the student's schedule

August 13th

New enrollees can come to Back to School Day, to get a school picture taken, pick up their Chromebook, Register on Final Forms if needed, Pay to Participate, etc.

August 14th, 15th and 16th

All new enrollees will have been contacted by then and scheduled these days with Jen Clark and Kristen Zender to create student's schedule if this hasn't been completed already.

August 21st

First day of students for Freshmen and new students.

Wednesday, August 21st, 2019

We will run the first day of school (Wednesday, August 21st) with 9th graders and new students only. All other high school students will report to school on Thursday, August 22nd. Parents of incoming 9th graders and newly enrolled students expect to get a letter with more details over the summer

9th Graders and NEW STUDENTS ONLY first day back is Monday, August 20th

Otsego High School will start on the first day with FRESHMEN/New Students ONLY. Our Freshmen Mentor Program will provide each freshman with a supportive environment that helps ease his or her adjustment from junior high to high school. Each 9th grader and new student will be grouped and paired with a teacher to provide a comprehensive Transition Program that enables each incoming freshman to feel comfortable and connected to their new Otsego High School family.

We hope to provide each incoming student with:

• Building mentors that are available to meet with and communicate with your child.
  
• A support group that consists of student advisors, faculty advisors, and academic counseling.
  
• An ongoing orientation to the high school that enables students to become familiar with its physical layout, policies, procedures, programs, traditions, and personnel.
  
• A comfortable environment that allows the student to relax during his/her demanding day.
  
• Frequent monitoring of academic progress.
  
• A mechanism for increasing students awareness regarding academic and co-curricular opportunities.
  
• Articulation of his/her freshman goals for high school.
  

All other High School Students: 10th (Sophomores), 11th (Juniors), & 12th (Seniors) first day back is Thursday, August 22nd. Can't wait to see all of you soon. #TheOtsegoKnights

Congratulations to Ian Wallace. Ian has been selected as a member of the 2019 NAfME All-National Mixed Choir, Bass 1. This selection is a direct reflection of his dedication and hard work. We are very proud of his accomplishment!

The 2019 All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) program will take place at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from November 7-10, 2019.
